Strong and hardy, this garlic grows large. Average cloves per bulb is 5 or 6. The flavor is mild when eaten raw and it has a smooth buttery flavor when roasted. It stores a long time. It is originally from the Gatersleben Seed Bank, also known as Cichisdzhvari.
